Musical Charity Morning Concert by Artists Platform Sunday 28 June 2009, 11.00 a.m.
Members and friends are invited to a musical charity morning concert organised by NN Gallery in aid of Badan Warisan Malaysia.
We are holding an appeal to raise RM 50,000 towards the urgent roof repair for the Rumah Penghulu Abu Seman. The fragile tiles have been affected by heavy rains, winds and movement of wildlife into our compound.
Pilling works and movement of heavy vehicles in the area due to the recent new developments in the surrounding area have also compounded the problem.
The Rumah Penghulu is an award winning relocation and restoration project. It is also one of the only examples of authentic traditional Malay vernacular architecture in Kuala Lumpur which is open to the public as a cultural exhibit. We would like to continue showcasing it in an optimum condition.
NN Gallery is working with Artists Platform in this charity concert that features soprano Ang Mei Foong and pianist, Kok-Ting Chong.
